Comms manufacturer RAD Data Communications has announced that its global sales in 2003 reached $132 million, an increase of three percent over 2002.
RAD recorded an impressive sales growth of 18 percent in Western Europe, 15 percent in Central and Eastern Europe and 13 percent in North America. Sales of its LA family integrated access devices (IADs) jumped 39 percent globally, while its ACE line of ATM access products climbed by 31 percent.
"We are cautiously optimistic about 2004," says Efraim Wachtel, RAD's president and CEO. "Our 2003 orders were up eight percent over 2002 figures, and we interpret that as a sign that RAD will be among those profitable manufacturers that will lead the telecommunications industry on its road to recovery in the year ahead."
"We are especially satisfied with these results given the general state of the telecommunications market worldwide. We attribute this sales growth to our strong brand recognition among our traditional carrier customer, to our broad range of products and to our product positioning, which very much reflects the future of the marketplace"
