RAD Widens Distribution Channel with New UK Partner

21st March 2007: RAD Data Communications, a provider of network access equipment for data communications and telecommunications applications, has joined forces with wireless distributor Selcoms. Selcoms has an established reputation for selling high-quality radio equipment, and will distribute RAD's leading products. The agreement is expected to be worth more than £500,000 over the next year.
A specialised trade-only distributor of wireless equipment, Selcoms sells fully up-to-date stock that can be purchased directly over the web. They will focus on selling the IPmux, Vmux, Airmux, ACE, and Optimux product lines, offering their customers a more complete solution. RAD will benefit from access to a range of new channels.
"One of our key areas of focus with RAD solutions will be the convergence of traditional TDM networks with IP next generation networks," says Rob Mortimer, sales and marketing director at Selcoms. "We anticipate the capability to integrate solutions into legacy networks through RAD devices will provide tremendous cost savings for network operators and increase the speed of network migration."

With RAD Data Communications' consolidated revenues reaching $168 million (£85.4 million) last year, this distribution deal will enable RAD to further strengthen its position in the wireless industry. The deal is part of RAD's ongoing strategy to widen its distribution channels. RAD has signed distribution deals with several channel partners over the past year, including Wireless Innovation, Magdalene and Microtel.
