Our Solution

Because HSDPA (high-speed downlink packet access) traffic is asymmetric and bandwidth intensive, ADSL/ADSL2+ is an attractive option for transporting HSDPA traffic to the RNC as a low-cost alternative to expensive leased lines. RAD’s LA-130 DSL cell site gateway supports HSDPA backhaul over ADSL2+ access lines and DSLAM infrastructure, providing the required bandwidth capacity at a fraction of the cost of E1/T1 connections. The LA-130 provides connectivity to ATM transport networks with end-to-end monitoring and QoS guarantees. Alternatively, it enables transmission over packet-switched networks via IP DSLAMs, using pseudowire functionality.
